Second public consultation - Winter 2020

This consultation was done by using a questionnaire, which was delivered, via the Village Magazine, to every house in the Parish.

166 questionnaires were completed. This represents a significant proportion of the households in Ashdon (373 households - 2011 Census).

73 questionnaires (44%) were completed online, and 93 (56%) paper questionnaires were returned.

Initial consultation - Autumn 2019

The first public consultation for the Ashdon Neighbourhood Plan was held in the Village Hall on Friday 18 and Saturday 19 October 2019.

In total we received 156 questionnaires: 133 questionnaires were completed at the two day event and a further 23 were sent in via the online Survey Monkey consultation which remained open until 31October.

Landscape appraisal

This document will provide us with a robust evidence ba se to support the development of policy within the emerging Neighbourhood Plan. In particular, it gives us a detailed assessment of the sensitivity and capacity of the local landscape to accommodate housing/employment development.

Character assessment

Volunteers in Ashdon have prepared a “snap shot” of the village, a record of the street scene. The volunteers were recruited at our Neighbourhood Plan launch in October 2019 and chose an a rea to cover in detail with photographs. These detailed reports were returned in the spring of 2020 and summarised into one large document: Ashdon Character Assessment.
